Here's your first look at the SEAT Mii Electric:
New Design Features
Although the Mii hasn't been given a complete design overhall, the classic model has some brilliant features that have gotten our mouths watering. The exterior is boosted and modernised by the editions of 16-inch grey 'Cosmo' matt alloys and LED daytime running lights, as well as a stylish new Mii Electric badge! On the inside, the dash has been completely redesigned and has a number of options available. As well as this there is a DAB radio, front sports SEATs, chrome detailing and even a winter pack! The winter pack includes heated front SEATs and windscreen, electric and heated door mirrors and light rain sensors. Feeling fancy? You can also customize your SEAT Mii 2019 with a contrast roof, and select one of five fantastic colours for the rest of the body!
In terms of mechanical functionality, the SEAT Mii Electric offers everything you would expect from a modern vehicle. Rear parking sensors, regenerative braking, lane assist and traffic sign recognition all feature alongside a combined charging system. The 2019 SEAT Mii offers a 251 litre boot space, which is relatively large for its class, outsizing the boots of the Fiat 500 and Smart Forfour EQ!
Lets Talk Electric!
The SEAT Mii electric has 61KW of power. What does that mean? Well, it is equivalent to 83PS, meaning the Mii ELectric has similar power to that of a 1.0 or 1.2-litre petrol-engined vehicle, plus, it is much lighter. The range of the 2019 SEAT Mii has a range of 161 miles based on the UK daily average mileage of 25 miles, meaning you would only need to recharge once every six days on average. When driving in the city, you can expect a range increase to 222 miles. Although the SEAT Mii Electric's main purpose isn't to be a speed demon, the 2019 model is certainly no layabout, getting from 0-31mph in just 3.9 seconds. This could be more than handy when weaving between traffic in the city.
Saving the Pounds whilst Saving the Planet
Let us not beat around the bush here, purchasing an electric vehicle can be considerably more expensive than a regular fuel vehicle, but they are usually much cheaper in the long run. Having said this, the SEAT Mii Electric's list price is only a small set above that of the old model, ideal for those making the switch.
The first and most obvious saving is saving fuel... and lots of it! Let's compare:
With an annual mileage of 8,000 miles, the average fuel bill for the old petrol Mii was £1,343.69
With the same annual mileage of 8,000 miles and a 100% charge costing £5.15 the yearly charge bill is £257.50
This means a Total fuel saving of £1089.19!!!
This isn't all. The SEAT Mii Electric is exempt from congestion charges in the UK (£11.50 Per Day) which is up to £2,990 per year! The SEAT Mii Electric is also exempt form Vehicle Exercise Duty!
So... What's it cost?
