Nissan’s e-POWER is a clever hybrid technology that gives Qashqai owners the instant response and smooth acceleration of an electric vehicle, without needing to plug in or charge.
Unlike a traditional hybrid, where the petrol engine and electric motor work together to drive the wheels, Qashqai’s e-POWER system is different. The petrol engine never drives the wheels directly. Instead, it acts purely as a generator, producing electricity to power the electric motor that moves the car.
That means the driving experience feels completely electric - quiet, effortless and responsive - while still offering the freedom and range of a conventional engine.
