Nissan has officially revealed the updated 2026 Nissan ARIYA, bringing a fresh new look, enhanced comfort, and even smarter electric technology to its flagship electric crossover.
Since launching in 2021, the ARIYA has become one of Nissan’s most advanced and refined electric vehicles, blending striking design with smooth performance and everyday practicality. Now, for 2026, Nissan is taking things even further.
At Cars2 Nissan, we’re excited to share a first look at what’s new.
A More Refined Design Inspired by “Timeless Japanese Futurism”
The updated ARIYA continues Nissan’s distinctive “Timeless Japanese Futurism” design philosophy, now with a cleaner and even more premium appearance.
A redesigned front end introduces a smoother body-colour panel and updated V-motion styling, giving the ARIYA a more seamless and confident presence on the road.
Newly designed 19” and 20” alloy wheels further enhance the vehicle’s premium stance, while a new Plasma Green exterior colour joins the range - inspired by natural light phenomena and designed to stand out from the crowd.
Inside, the minimalist cabin continues to deliver the lounge-like atmosphere ARIYA is known for, now enhanced with a redesigned centre console offering increased storage space and the latest-generation 15W wireless phone charger.
One of the biggest upgrades for the 2026 ARIYA is the latest generation of NissanConnect with Google built-in, designed to make electric driving simpler and more connected than ever.
Drivers can now use natural voice commands such as:
“Hey Google, navigate to…”
Google Maps intelligently plans charging stops based on your battery level, while the vehicle can pre-condition the battery before arriving at a charger to help maximise charging speeds.
The NissanConnect Services app also allows drivers to:
- Monitor battery levels
- Manage charging sessions
- Adjust cabin temperature remotely
- Check tyre pressures directly from their smartphone
It’s all designed to make owning and driving an EV more seamless and intuitive.
The 2026 Nissan ARIYA also benefits from improved charging functionality.
The updated model features an 11kW bi-directional onboard charger, supporting Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology. On selected models, this allows the ARIYA to power compatible external devices directly from the vehicle - ideal for outdoor activities, work equipment, or emergency back-up power.
For rapid charging, the ARIYA supports DC charging speeds of up to 130kW, helping reduce charging times and making longer journeys even easier.
Nissan has also refined the ARIYA’s driving experience with updated suspension tuning, delivering improved stability, reduced vibrations, and greater comfort on long journeys.
Selected models will also benefit from advanced driver assistance technologies, including adaptive driving support systems that assist with acceleration, braking, and stop-start traffic to help reduce driver fatigue.
The result is an EV that feels even smoother, quieter, and more refined behind the wheel.
The updated 2026 Nissan ARIYA continues to combine bold design, premium comfort, and intelligent technology in a way few electric crossovers can.
With its refreshed styling, enhanced connected features, and refined driving experience, the latest ARIYA further strengthens Nissan’s vision for the future of electric mobility.
