All new MGs come with a comprehensive 7-year manufacturer warranty as standard, along with an extensive anti-perforation and paint warranty. This includes unlimited mileage for the first 12 months, and is restricted to a total of 80,000 miles after the first year.
Our vehicles are designed to the highest standards and then rigorously tested to ensure that nothing should go wrong. In the unlikely event that something does go wrong with your MG, you have complete peace of mind with your warranty.
This guarantees repair, replacement or adjustment, free of charge, by an MG dealership, of any part which fails during the warranty period, as a result of a manufacturing or material defect.
MG's extensive warranty also guarantees paintwork, for up to 36 months or 60,000 miles, repairs to defects such as blistering, peeling, cracking, discoloration or staining of the visible painted surface of the vehicle body panels occurring as a result of manufacturing or material defect.
In addition, this includes all ‘wear and tear’ items, (excluding tyres) that are subject to failure as a result of a manufacturing or material defect during the first 12 months of the warranty period or prior to the first scheduled chargeable main service, whichever is sooner.
MG approved parts are used for repairs effected under warranty, except as an emergency repair, which must be made good within 14 days using components approved by MG.
MG Warrants the metal body panels of your new MG car against perforation due to corrosion, which is the direct result of defects in material or manufacturing process. Perforation is defined as corrosion or rusting through of a body panel on the vehicle from the inner surface, to the outer surface (resulting in a hole). A 7 years anti-perforation warranty applies to the New MG3 (18MY on), MG ZS, ZS EV, MG5 EV and MG HS models from the date of registration.
For the warranty period to remain valid it is required that you have your vehicle inspected every 12 months for the duration of the anti-perforation warranty by an MG Dealer and documented. The dealer may charge for this service. In the unlikely event your car is effected by perforation as described above, then an MG Authorised Dealer/Repairer will replace or repair the effected panel free of charge.
