Cars2 Limited celebrated its 10th Birthday this year on 10th March.
While Cars2 may be seen as a relatively young motor group, this milestone and the successes we’ve had in our first decade of trading are things that all of our colleagues can celebrate and be proud of.
This is particularly true of our longer serving colleagues who have been with Cars2 throughout its journey, and helped steer and grow it into the successful customer orientated business that it is today.
Lindsay Collier was Cars2’s first employee – that is other than founder Allan Otley. She joined the business having worked with Allan in the motor trade previously and in the early days solely looked after the company’s accounts and administration.
She helped retrieve used cars from auctions in her first days for Cars2, and delivered them to its then non-franchised used car operation on Pontefract Road in Barnsley. She was present when customers came through our dealerships doors for the first time and recollects her surprise as the phones rang for the first time having been activated.
Lindsay is now a Board Director of Cars2, having been appointed in February 2012, and sits in the office of Finance Director heading up a 20 strong team of accountants and administrators who ensure the smooth, hassle free sale of 100s of vehicles and the servicing of 1000s of vehicles each month.
Lindsay’s commitment and dedication was recognised ceremonially today with a token of appreciation from Group Managing Director, Allan.
When asked, Lindsay said she was “incredibly proud and happy to see Cars2 grow over the years” and “looks forward to many more years of success and happy customers with Cars2”.
