The Person

We are looking for a highly professional, dynamic, and commercially focused General Sales Manager with a proven background in the motor trade. The ideal candidate will:

Key Responsibilities

As a hands‑on and engaged GSM, you will:

  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Sales Managers, Controllers, and Sales Executives to exceed business targets.
  • Manage departmental costs in line with dealership KPIs.
  • Maximise sales performance, profitability, and market share.
  • Drive continual improvements in customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure the sales process is followed to the highest standards.

Skills & Experience Required

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in automotive sales management.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of coaching and developing teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • High levels of organisation and adaptability.
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of employment practices and motor trade trends.
