Hyundai’s first ever Hot-Hatch Arrives at Cars2

Introducing the Hyundai i30 N – the first hot-hatch to launch under the Hyundai N sub-brand – in a new line of high performance road cars. The i30 N was born on the track and is engineered to make driving fun.

  • Developed at the Namyang R&D Centre in Korea and honed on the Nürburgring.
  • Powerful 2.0-litre T-GDi turbocharged engine delivers 250 PS.
  • Optional performance pack boosts output up to 275 PS.

Power – intelligently applied

The Hyundai i30 N’s powerful T-GDi engine generates 353 Nm torque from 1,500 – 4,700 rpm, rising to a maximum of 378 Nm when in overboost. i30 N is therefore teamed with advanced racing inspired features including a launch control system which manages engine torque off the line. Plus a quick-shifting 6 speed manual transmission with shift timing indicator and rev matching technology to achieve perfect downshifts every time.

Inspired by motorsport

It’s not just the unique Performance Blue paintwork that’s inspired by Hyundai Motorsport’s world rally cars. The i30 N’s aggressive bumpers, air intakes and rear spoiler apply racing dynamics, using natural airflow to reduce turbulence and lift, providing better balance at speed.

In high performance driving, small details make a big difference. Under the skin, larger, uprated brakes are complimented by lowered, electronically controlled suspension (ECS). An electronic limited slip differential (E-LSD) on performance pack editions improves traction and handling.
